Scheduling & Fees

Refunds & Cancellations

These policies apply to all services offered by Rena Barnett Matthews / Attorney-Career-Coach, including four-week coaching packages and à-la-carte services.

Single-Session Services — Refunds & Rescheduling

  • Refunds: Full refund if canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled session or before substantive work begins.
  • Deliverables: Once a résumé or other written deliverable has been returned to the client, that portion of the service is considered complete and is non-refundable.
  • Late Cancellation / No-Show: Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed sessions incur a $75 fee. We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule.

Four-Week Coaching Packages — Refunds & Engagement Window

  • Engagement Window: A package covers a continuous four-week period beginning with the first scheduled session. Packages must be completed within 90 days of purchase and no later than December 31 of the purchase year.
  • Email Access: Unlimited email communication is included during the four-week engagement for questions, feedback, and strategy adjustments.
  • Refunds: If a client ends a package early, a pro-rated refund is available for unused time. Refunds are calculated as:
Refund = Total Package Price – Value of Weeks Used
“Weeks Used” are counted from the first scheduled session through the end of the active engagement window. Any completed written deliverables are deemed used.
  • Request Deadline: Refund requests must be submitted within one (1) year of purchase or by December 31 of the purchase year, whichever comes first.
  • Sessions Ending Early: Sessions may conclude early once objectives are met; such sessions are considered complete and count toward the package.
  • Renewals: Clients may renew or repurchase packages at any time. Unused time does not roll over beyond the engagement window.

Cancellations & No-Shows (All Services)

  • Notice: Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice by email to reschedule.
  • No-Show Fee: Missed or late-canceled sessions are subject to a $75 fee.
  • Good-Faith Rescheduling: We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule within the current engagement window.
